Inspiration in the Mail

I came home from school today feeling tired, nauseated, and just overwhelmed with life.  I had nothing to blog, nothing to say, just nothing.  In amongst the junk mail, and Christmas catalogs and bills, there was a hand addressed envelope.  It contained an original piece of art, and the following letter:

Dear Uncle Jonathan, Aunty Coralie, and [Mackerdoodle]:

I wrote this letter to you because I knew you would like it.  The picture is X-men.  I wrote this while I was in school.  We are praying for you.  It’s not winter yet.  I love you.

Signed: [My Nephew]

It put a smile on my face, and the picture of the X-Men fighting Magneto and his bad guys (with carefully labeled characters) made my day.  My brain is still foggy, and my stomach is still upset, but it all feels a little easier to handle.
