Creativity, Don’t Abandon Me Now

My daughter is 15 (almost 16) months old.  Her baby book has three pages in it.  THREE!  And now I have a new baby on the way, and a new baby book to get ready.

Here’s the thing: I thought that I was going to graduate to digital scrapbooking.  No more paste, no more paper, no more cropping, stamping, riveting, printing pictures, etc.  It was going to be all digital for me.  I was inspired by layouts like this one, or this one, and was absolutely positively convinced that I could create the most beautiful baby book in the world.

But here’s the problem: When I sit down and stare at the digital pictures, I can’t do it.  I can’t see the page in my mind, and create it.  I need to have the elements spread out around me, and see them all to make the page.  I’m not a  great scrap booker on the traditional side of things, but I’m a blank scrap booker when it comes to digital.

So what I need right now is about ten hours of scrap booking time to get caught up – and this level of creativity.  My expectations may have to be modified.
