Advertising Disclosure Statement

I’m trying out some compensated posts, and if I do that the FTC requires me to have a disclosure statement. Here it is, written by me, not a lawyer and not a canned disclosure from a website. Therefore it’s probably missing something, and thereby far more representative of my blog than anything else could be.

I am Coralie Cowan and this is my blog, and only my blog. In the rare instance that I do not write the words that show up here I will always identify and credit the writer. I believe in honesty of relationship, opinion and identity. I don’t write anything I don’t believe to be true and no amount of money would cause me to change my mind about that. I will periodically accept forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions or other forms of compensation. When I do, it will always be identified as such, and contain a link back to this page.

Because I am human, and generally blog with three children dragging at my attention, I might get something wrong. As with anything else you read on the internet, any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question. I will never post anything that presents a conflict of interest. Specifically, any comments regarding Covenant Seminary, Chick-Fil-A, and Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church will be made spontaneously and without any financial compensation at all because those entities are a big part of my life right now.

I think that’s it. Carry on.
